Today, there is more hope than ever for people facing breast cancer. However, there is much work to be done. Every day, the American Cancer Society (ACS) is helping people stay well by taking steps to reduce their risk of breast cancer. ACS is also helping people to diagnose cancer early, when it is most treatable; providing information that can deliver day-to-day help and emotional support to guide them through every step of their recovery. ACS hopes to find cures and new treatments by fundraising and conducting independent research. The organization also works with lawmakers to help all women get access to screenings and care.
We believe that one day, breast cancer will never steal another year from anyone's life and we will live in a world with less breast cancer and more birthdays. That's why we're walking in the American Cancer Society: Making Strides Against Breast Cancer event. This is our opportunity to join my community in the fight against breast cancer and it is a way to inspire hope by raising funds and awareness to save more lives by supporting those facing the disease.
And you can be a part of it, too. 500 Men will be walking in the October 15th event and I hope you will join us in our effort by signing up to join the 500 men team or by making a donation in support of our participation.
